Open Meetings Act

The Bedford Park District complies with the Illinois Open Meetings Act. In accordance with the Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/7.3), employees whose total compensation package exceeds $75,000 will be available upon approval of the Budget and Appropriation Ordinance in March of each year. Approval of the Budget & Appropriation Ordinance includes approval of annual salaries and related expenses necessary to provide the aforementioned information.

Upon approval of the Budget and Appropriation Ordinance on March 29, 2023, the following employees of the Bedford Park District have a total compensation package that exceeds $75,000:

  • Kathryn McMullin, Executive Director
  • Patti Wilson, Deputy Director

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

Per the Illinois Freedom of Information Act 5 ILCS 140/3 (h) (i); Each public body may promulgate rules and regulations in conformity with the provisions of the Section pertaining to the availability of records and procedures to be followed, including the times and place where such records will be made available.

Requests may be submitted and public inspections of documents will be granted during the following hours; Mondays 9 am until 4 pm, Tuesdays/Thursdays 1 pm until 4 pm, and Wednesdays/Fridays 9 am until Noon. Please be advised that some documents require redactions and are not available for immediate inspection.

The employees of Bedford Park District are provided the option to enroll in the District's group health insurance, with a portion of the annual premium paid by the employee. The monthly premium rates effective May 1, 2023 range from $350.00 to $1700.00 based on employee age and dependent coverage.
