Special Events

The resident rate is available for party hosts currently residing in Bedford Park District Boundaries. The host must sign the rental agreement and be present during the entire party. Our residents are entitled to two parties at the reduced rate per calendar year for indoor facilities.

Meetings & Banquet Facilities Regulations

Bedford Park District will hold a date for five business days. The security deposit is due by 4PM on the fifth business day. If payment is not made within that time period, the room is immediately available to another interested patron.

Party rental time is five hours. The building is available for a maximum of two hours to coordinate decorating, floral delivery, cake/catering delivery, etc. Additional time required is billed at $50 per hour. The security deposit cannot be used to extend the length of the party.

Residents of the Bedford Park District must be present during the entire party to receive resident rates - no exceptions.

If the number of guests at the party exceeds the category maximum, the security deposit is forfeited.

Security deposit is payable in cash per rental and will be returned within 48 hours after the party provided the room is vacated on time, there is no damage to the facility and all terms of the contract have been met as determined by the Bedford Park District attendant on duty. Any discrepancies will be discussed with the Director of Special Events the following Monday. The Director of Special Events will have the final say regarding the full or partial refunding of the security deposit.

Rentals cancelled 30 days or more prior to the event will be given 50% refund OF DEPOSIT. Rentals cancelled between 14 and 29 days prior to rental date will be given a 25% refund OF DEPOSIT. Cancellation 14 days or less DEPOSIT IS non-refundable.

Saturdays and Sundays for May and June are held for park district residents until mid September. Please keep that in mind when planning your Graduation and Communion parties. Park District residents are allowed one May or June date per household.

Non-resident requests for May and June 2018 dates will begin on September 18, 2017.

Meeting & Banquet Facilities

Executive Board Room

The Executive Board Room is the location for all meetings of the Bedford Park District Board of Commissioners. Your next meeting will be one to remember in our tastefully decorated room. Tables can be set up for a round-table discussion or classroom style for training purposes.

Auditorium

The auditorium is located inside the Community Building. It is host to plays, exhibits, and our famous Parent's Night Event which is the closing ceremony for Summer Camp. A small kitchen is available and the stage is perfect for seating the guest of honor for gift opening or for your disc jockey.

Ceramics Studio

Our ceramics studio is well stocked with the equipment, greenware and paints needed to create beautiful works of art. Classes form regularly and are open to beginners as well as advanced students.

Picnic Shelter

Plan to host your next family reunion or group function at the Bedford Park District Picnic Shelter. The Open Air Shelter overlooks the newly renovated ballfields. The adjacent Concession Building offers indoor plumbing and kitchen facilities.

  • Maintenance staff will no longer transfer banquet tables to the picnic pavilion.
