Registration Information
Summer Camp registration for residents and
employees of the Bedford Park District takes
place the week of April 12th through April 17th
in the Garden Room at the Bedford Park
Community Building. Our Super sign-up event
takes place on Monday, April 12th from 6:00PM
until 9:00PM. Residents and employees who
cannot attend Super Sign-up Days may register
Tuesday through Friday, April 13th through
16th from 9:00AM until 4:00PM and on
Saturday, April 17th from 9:00AM until 1:00PM
at the Bedford Park Community Building.
ALL other patrons (including prior participants)
interested in participating in summer camp
may call the park office beginning April 5th
through April 9th from 9:00AM until 4:00PM to
have their name included in the lottery for any
available camp openings. A staff member will
contact you by noon on April 19th to inform
you if your child’s name was selected in the
lottery to attend camp. You will have until
Friday, April 23rd to complete registration
forms and payment or your spot will be given to
the next name on the waiting list. We will NOT
accept phone calls before 1:00PM on April 19th
regarding any child’s status in summer camp.
For Your Information
Only those campers selected in the lottery
will receive a phone call. The status of any camper’s selection
in the lottery will be available to the parents/guardians only.

Camp will be held rain or shine.

Picture This
Registrants and participants permit the taking of photographs and video
of themselves and their children during Park District activities for
publication, as the Park District deems necessary.
Illness Policy
Children should not be brought to camp with illnesses that are contagious
or with fevers, diarrhea, vomiting, or unidentifiable rashes. Campers may
not return to the program until they are fever and/or diarrhea free for 24
hours. Children who are not participating normally (who show extreme
lethargy or fatigue) will be considered ill and sent home.
Camper Code of Conduct
The Bedford Park District expects summer campers to exhibit
appropriate behavior at all times. We have developed guidelines
to ensure that our camp is safe and enjoyable for all. The staff
may develop additional rules as necessary.
All campers must:
- Show respect to staff, volunteers, and fellow participants
- Show respect for equipment, supplies, & facilities
- Take part cooperatively and positively while following the rules established for camp
Discipline
The Bedford Park District uses a firm, positive, and progressive
approach to discipline. The purpose of discipline is to help
children develop self-control and take responsibility for their
actions. Each situation is evaluated based on individual
circumstances and Camper Conduct Reports will be used to
document inappropriate behavior. Parents will be notified when a
Camper Conduct Report is made. The Bedford Park District
reserves the right to dismiss any camper whose behavior
endangers his/her own safety or negatively impacts others.
The safety and enjoyment of all campers is our primary concern.
