Summer 2008 Programs
Dear Patrons of Bedford Park District,
It has been one year since my appointment to the
Bedford Park District Board of Commissioners and I
have enjoyed the experience immensely. As the
Chairperson of the Recreation Committee, I have had the
opportunity to offer suggestions and assist with various
programs. Most recently, I met with Brian Urlacher to
secure a reduced rate for members of our park programs
who want to participate in his football camp to be held at
Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. I
hope you will consider sending your athlete to this camp.
As you will see in this, our Summer 2008 program
book, our theme this year is “3 Cheers for the Red,
White & Blue” for summer camp and “Recipe for
Summer Fun” throughout our program book. Members
of your park staff and commissioners have provided an
interesting array of recipes for your cooking enjoyment,
including several non-edible recipes for artistic fun.
Finally, thank you to the families of Tomi, Jessica, and
Stephanie for allowing us to include them on the cover
of our program book.
